McDonnell Signs Offshore Energy Bills

RICHMOND- Today Delegate Stolle’s Off-Shore Drilling bill, HB 756, was signed by Governor McDonnell. Stolle’s bill, a priority for the McDonnell administration, provides that all revenues and royalties paid to the Commonwealth as a result of off-shore natural gas and oil drilling shall be distributed to the Transportation Trust Fund, the Virginia Coastal Energy Research Consortium for renewable energy development, and to localities for improvements to infrastructure and transportation.
