Meet Chris

Veteran

Chris graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon graduation he entered the submarine force where he qualified as a Naval Nuclear Engineer. In 1988 Chris entered the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda Maryland where he earned his medical degree. Chris continued as a doctor in the U.S. Navy until retiring as a Commander in September 2005.

Doctor

During his naval career, Chris served his transitional internship and OB/GYN residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served as the Department Head for OB/GYN at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and then as Chairman of the OB/GYN Department at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Since September 2005 Chris has served as Vice President of Medical Affairs at the Riverside Regional Medical Center. Chris is a Fellow in the American College of of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Certified Physician Executive of the American College of Physician Executives.

Leader

Chris earned an MBA from the College of William and Mary in 2004. As Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chris serves as spokesperson and liaison between the medical staff and the hospital administration. In  addition, Chris works with the medical staff leadership to guide and direct medical staff activities and physician affairs, including physician relations, physician planning and problemsolving.  He also works with the me dical staff and hospital administration as a physician advocate and medical advisor to non-physician clinical staff. He is responsible for the quality of patient care and patient safety at Riverside Regional Medical Center, and continues as a practicing physician at the hospital.

 The Stolle Family

Chris resides in the Bayside area of Virginia Beach with his wife, Lisa. They have five children, Tricia and Christopher, who are both currently serving in U. S. Navy; Graham, who joined his brother Christopher as a VMI graduate and now is a Regent University School of Law student; Andrew, who just completed his undergraduate studies; and Kevin, currently an engineering major. The Stolle family is deeply rooted in service to our country. Chris and Lisa remember the challenges they faced as a young military family with five growing children. Chris has a solid record of serving those who serve.
