Chris Stolle Announces his Re-Election Candidacy

“I look forward to meeting all of the folks living in the current and new 83rd district neighborhoods to get their ideas on how to continue to make the Commonwealth a great place to live, work and raise a family!”

Chris Stolle, who was overwhelmingly elected to the 83rd House of Delegates district in November 2009, announces his candidacy for re-election this November. Increasing job opportunities and strengthening the economy remain his top priorities. “Although we have made great strides in enhancing the economic outlook, we still have a long way to go.”

Providing a stronger employment base and enhancing our transportation infrastructure are key to our area’s economic recovery.  A strong proponent of our ports and energy independence, Chris Stolle looks forward to advancing these industries by improving our rail and road transportation system to support their growth.

During his first term in office Delegate Stolle has been a staunch supporter of our service-members and veterans and has successfully passed legislation with bi-partisan support creating “Veterans Courts” in the Commonwealth, creating a veterans skills database to support transitioning servicemembers and has passed legislation to provide in-state tuition to service-members and their spouses.

Chris Stolle will continue to put his experience as a physician to work for all citizens of the Commonwealth by advancing legislation that will encourage affordable, quality healthcare, and to improve access to healthcare services for all Virginians.

Speaking of his first term in office, Delegate Stolle stated “It is has been an honor to represent the 83rd House of Delegates district.  Working on local issues such as providing state funding for Pleasure House Point, real-estate tax credits for historical properties; and championing legislation to solve our local transportation issues has been especially satisfying.  I am continually humbled by the kind words of support and thanks that I receive from friends and neighbors across the district.”

The 83rd House of Delegates district, re-drawn in the redistricting bill signed by the Governor last week, now includes several new Norfolk precincts and two new Virginia Beach precincts.  “I look forward to meeting all of the folks living in the current and new 83rd district neighborhoods to get their ideas on how to continue to make the Commonwealth a great place to live, work and raise a family!”
