Hampton Roads Realtors Association (HRRA) Visit: Delegate Stolle discussed legislation to support the housing industry that has successfully passed the House of Delegates.  HRRA members were in Richmond for their annual Lobbying Day updating legislators on the current status of the residential real estate market and its projected outlook for the reminder of the year.

A Special Pembroke Meadows Student Visits the Capitol

Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (VHF) and had the privilege of spending time with a very special young lady, Lovie Lamell-Key, who is a fifth grade student at Pembroke Meadows, a volunteer with the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation, and she told me – a future CEO! Lovie visited along with her mom, Tina, big brother, Te`Quan and members of the VHF to advocate their support for the VHF and to share Lovie’s personal story about the work VHF performs.

Helping to Raise Kidney Disease Awareness in the District.

Delegate Chris Stolle, M.D. visits DaVita’s Kidney Dialysis Center located in the 83rd district to meet patients and care givers in order to promote awareness of kidney disease among Virginia residents. Approximately 1 in 9 Virginians suffer from kidney disease and many do not even know they have it until kidney disease reaches an advanced stage.  The health care costs endured by the patients and family members of those affected by kidney disease are exorbitant. With early detection and education, kidney disease can be managed or prevented. Chris Stolle urges everyone to educate themselves on kidney disease and talk to your doctor about getting screened.

Supporting Our Military Families

Delegate Stolle participates in a Play Comforts event sponsored by the Toy Industry Association, the Toy Industry Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, at the Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.

TIF honored children whose parents have been deployed or who have served in the military with a toy distribution.   More than 3,000 children of servicemen and women from every branch of the military attended this special event.

2011 Emergency Medicine Hero Award

Dr. Barnes and Dr. Garrison present Delegate Stolle with 2011 ER Medicine Hero Award. Delegate Stolle received the College of Emergency Physician’s first Emergency Medicine Hero awards for his work in promoting and protecting the interests of emergency patients and physicians. Delegate Stolle introduced and secured passage of HB 1690 providing penalties, including a minimum two days in jail, for anyone who assaults emergency department workers.

Delegate Stolle joins three physician Congressmen; Rep. Larry Buchson Indiana), Rep. Phil Gingrey (Georgia), and Rep. Phil Roe (Tennessee) at Congressman Scott Rigell’s Healthcare Town Hall for 2nd Congressional district citizens.

The New 83rd District

Legislative districts changed in 2011 as a result of the 2010 U.S. Census data resdistricting process.  The new 83rd House of Delegates district will continue serve the Bayside and Shore Drive areas of Virginia Beach as well as two new Virginia Beach precincts that include the Little Neck and Kingston neighborhoods.  New Norfolk precincts continue down Shore Drive  into Ocean View, Bayview, Azalea Gardens, Tarellton, Barron Black  and Little Creek communities.  Click on the map to see if you live in the 83rd.

Making Virginia an Energy Capitol and Funding Transportation

Chris Stolle jobs plan included developing over 2,500 new clean energy jobs for Hampton Roads. Delegate Stolle believes in keeping commitments to the people who elected him to serve. Chris introduced HB756 to provide off-shore drilling energy jobs and transportation funding from drilling. HB756 received bi-partisan support overwhelming passing the General Assembly which Governor McDonnell signed into law.
